Abstract:
To share culture is to communicate and promote what is most genuine and differentiated in each community. Language is the most important heritage of each people and literature is a privileged vehicle of dissemination and preservation, not only of the language, but also of each culture’s specificities. To develop procedures and dynamic projects so as to stimulate knowledge of literature will activate cognitive processes, will promote reading and literary literacy, thus contributing to the knowledge and domain of the language, culture and its authors.
Design has a paramount role in mediating the access to the intangible heritage. By making accessible this heritage to all citizens, through the construction of meaningful and emotional narratives, as well as the articulation between its subjective and formal elements, design will make possible the access to its intelligibility and enjoyment and it will simultaneously unchain active intervention processes and identification of the citizens with this heritage, therefore resulting in dynamics of heritage preservation.
Poetry is, within the Portuguese culture, a means of privileged expression, with high levels of acceptance. This becomes intangible heritage as it does not end in the written literary production, expressing itself above all in the intangibility of its contents, feelings and emotions which it evokes. The poetic literary production about Lisbon is extensive and may be object of study, analysis and promotion, according to the premises and objectives mentioned before. As well as all intangible heritages, it needs to dialogue with its reference places. It can reveal places in the city of Lisbon, combined with poetry written about them and also, through the design of poetic routes, contribute to the promotion of an intangible heritage which can be expressed through literature, the Portuguese language and culture, thus revealing the poetry of these places.

Resumo:
Partindo de uma reflexão sobre as obras “Lisboa, cidade triste e alegre” e “London Diaries”, pretende-se avaliar se existem nestes objectos em si, mais do que os seus elementos constituintes e de que modo a sua articulação, resulta na criação de diferentes realidades, através das quais o design se afirma e se assume numa transdisciplinaridade comunicativa e de participação cultural em narrativas poéticas das cidades.

Resumo:
O património e sobretudo o intangível, constitui, numa era de acelerada globalização, um dos principais elementos da singularidade das cidades. Permitir o conhecimento da cidade e deste património através de itinerários resultará numa mais-valia para o turismo cultural. Revelar a cidade de Lisboa nos seus aspectos mais particulares, e percorre-la sob o olhar encantado dos poetas que a descreveram, constituirá uma experiência inesquecível, um produto inovador, no qual o design terá um papel determinante.

Design e novos desafios sociais e culturais, nomeadamente no que ao património imaterial (poesia) diz respeito, a sua articulação com a cidade e o natural reforço do espírito do lugar que daí decorre. A função pedagógica e lúdica resultante desta articulação e a sua posterior conversão em reforço identitário.
